Aerial Surveys now has two large format 4-band Vexel camera systems and a 3rd 3-band camera system permanently based in New Zealand. We're often asked by clients about how they can insure their capture programs are finished within the required time frame. The answer is that you need an operator with redundancy in the camera systems and that ideally means multiple camera and aircraft. Aerial Surveys has in the past operated multiple camera systems in a flying season, but this is the first time that we have had two systems permanently based in New Zealand.
This allows us to capture multiple locations simultaneously, reduce missed capture windows caused by aircraft maintenance or as we did last year capture urban and rural programs on the same day.
This dual system also allows us to respond to emergency work without stopping capture on existing capture programs.
