Aerial Surveys has formed a strategic partnership with AAMHATCH (formerly AAM Surveys) from Australia, considered to be the leading experts in LiDAR in Australasia, to supply LiDAR / ALS services to NZ. ALS stands for airborne laser survey which involves a 3d scanning laser installed in a plane operating at 30,000 pulses per second to gather digital terrain data (XYZ values) of both the ground surface and physical objects such as buildings and tree canopy heights.
